Teachable affiliate tracking for your school

Teachable reports every course payment to Refficks. Each one is credited to the partner whose link brought the buyer or whose coupon they used, and a refund takes the commission back.

  • Refunds taken back
  • Subscriptions and payment plans
  • You approve each commission

Can Refficks track Teachable affiliate sales?

Yes. Refficks reads every Teachable course payment, including each payment of a subscription or payment plan, from webhooks you add in your school's settings. A sale is credited to the partner whose link brought the buyer or whose coupon they used. A refund takes the commission back, and since Teachable signs nothing, you approve each commission.

What you wantOn Teachable
A partner's link credits the saleYes, when each course's thank-you page names the buyer, or Refficks already knows their email from your site
A partner's code credits the saleYes, once you make the same coupon in Teachable
Subscriptions and payment plansEvery payment is recorded, and a cancellation stops paying the partner
RefundsTaken back by themselves
Signed deliveriesNo, so every sale is marked Unverified and waits for a person to approve it

Precisely: commission is worked out on each payment less the VAT Teachable reports on it. Webhooks come with Teachable's paid plans.

What Refficks does not do on Teachable

These are the parts Teachable does not report, or that Refficks leaves alone. The guide says the same, above its steps.

  • Teachable signs nothing it sends, so every commission waits for someone to approve it, even on a plan that approves by itself.
  • Each course has its own thank-you page, and each needs the snippet that names the buyer.
  • Refficks cannot make a partner's coupon in Teachable. You make it there, spelt the same.
  • Teachable sends nothing for a free course or a 100%-off coupon.
  • Teachable's own affiliate program is not read. If you run both, a sale can earn a commission in each.

How do I connect Teachable to Refficks?

  1. In Refficks, open Teachable under Integrations and press Connect to get your address.
  2. In Teachable, open Settings → Webhooks, make a webhook to that address for New transaction, Transaction refunded and Subscription canceled, and save.
  3. Paste the Refficks script into Site → Code Snippets → Head Code, and on your own website if partners' links go there first.
  4. On each course's Thank You page, add a Liquid/HTML block with the one-line call Refficks gives you, so the page names the buyer.
  5. Buy a course through a partner's link. It arrives as a sale waiting for approval: reject it, and refund it in Teachable.

The whole guide, with your own address, your own snippet and checks of what Refficks has seen from Teachable, is on Teachable's page under Integrations in Refficks. You can read it without an account first.

Questions about Teachable and Refficks

Why does every Teachable commission wait for approval?

Teachable does not sign what it sends, so Refficks cannot prove a delivery came from Teachable. Every Teachable sale is marked Unverified, and its commission waits for a person, even on a plan that approves by itself.

Does a Teachable refund take the affiliate's commission back?

Yes. Teachable reports refunds, and Refficks writes a reversal beside the commission. If the partner was already paid, it comes off what they earn next.

If Teachable charges through my own Stripe account, is a sale counted twice?

No. If that Stripe account is connected to Refficks too, the same charge is counted once, from whichever reports it first.

Can I test it without paying?

Teachable has no test mode for webhooks and sends nothing for a free course or a 100%-off coupon, so the test is a paid purchase you then refund.
